About Project WILD

Project WILD

All life, plant and animal, wildlife and human, depends on the environment. Informed decisions, responsible behavior, and constructive actions concerning wildlife and the environment underlie the survival of all species, including our own.

Project WILD provides interdisciplinary conservation and environmental education curriculum and materials that focuses on wildlife.

Project WILD programs and materials assist learners of all ages to develop the awareness, knowledge, skills, and commitment to act responsibly in matters concerning wildlife.

Project WILD...

  • Provides a hands-on approach to help learners engage in the environment.
  • Teaches learners how to think… not what to think.
  • Develops problem solving and decision making skills.
  • Is interdisciplinary and encompasses many diverse teaching and learning styles.
  • Is correlated to the National Science Standards.
  • Can be used in schools, nature center, camp, and scout programs, in zoos and many other settings.
