Enhancement of Live Firing Opportunities Program
The Enhancement of Live Firing Opportunities program is a new
offering from the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission. This program allows firearm hunter education graduates within the past 12 months the chance to improve their shotgun shooting and handling skills at gun clubs or shooting ranges statewide before going into the field.
Who is eligible to participate?
Firearm hunter education graduates within the past 12 months are eligible to participate in the program.
How much does it cost?
No student will be turned away because of inability to afford the cost of shot shells and targets. If necessary, the gun clubs or shooting ranges will provide the students a limited number of shells and targets.
What are the advantages?
The program allows eligible students the chance to learn and practice shotgun shooting and safe gun handling in a live-firing setting. The local gun club or shooting ranges will provide volunteer coaches and certified instructors.
Where are the sessions?
The sessions take place at gun clubs or shooting ranges around the state.
